Frequently asked questions

The seasickness concern is a reasonable question and that would be my first question too!
Unlike sailing in the open ocean, sailing within the San Francisco Bay is generally very smooth as it is well protected from wind and waves. We are not aggressive sailors and making the trip as comfortable as possible is our priority.
Just for the record, we never had a guest feel seasick in any of our sails in the San Francisco Bay. Because guests (and us) may get sea sick, we do not do tours out of the bay (e.g. whale watching tours etc.)
The San Francisco Bay is very well protected, even so for each sail we chose our route and departure time to make sure the bay is comfortable for our guests. Depending on the weather and time of year, we may depart earlier Saturday morning to avoid any windy conditions.
Sailing aboard BluReverie is suitable for families with children. For the comfort and safety of our guest, we will not head out if the weather is not conducive to a pleasant experience.
As to "will I get seasick?" Everyone is unique and you would be the best person to know your sensitivity. If you are ok with a car ride on the highway, you should be fine aboard BluReverie Catamaran.
