Coffee at BluReverie Catamaran

We want our guests to experience unique flavors when they come aboard BluReverie, and coffee is indeed part of our curated items. We first start out with proven equipment to provide the optimum brewing water temperatures for the coffee grinds. We do that with the leading industry brewer Moccamaster CDT Grand. Handmade in the Netherlands, they have been perfecting the coffee brewing process for over 50 years. Most importantly, the Moccamaster coffee brewer is certified to brew to the strict standards of the European Coffee Brewing Center (ECBC) and the SpecialtyCoffee Association (SCA); certifications awarded only after extensive and rigorous quality control and laboratory testing. Once the coffee is brewed we keep it in a 60 ounce double-walled stainless steel thermal carafe to keep the coffee hot without reheating.

BluReverie coffee from Hawaii we use Hawaii Coffee Company 100% Royal Kona and from Puerto Rico we use Café Yaucono or Café Lareño (Lares, PR).

For the coffee, we use beans which we manually grind in the morning with a ceramic grinder. We have two bean options which coincidentally both are grown in two different islands: Hawaii and Puerto Rico! From Hawaii we use Hawaii Coffee Company 100% Royal Kona and from Puerto Rico we use Café Yaucono or Café Lareño (Lares, PR). These coffee beans are produced in small batches by local farmers following traditional coffee production from cultivating and picking, de-pulping, cleaning, drying, hulling, roasting, grinding and packing so we can enjoy the exquisite taste.

We brew our coffee light and typically serve it with warm milk ("cafe con leche"). Join us and let us know if you have any preferences.
